I'm Rhiannon, one of the co founders of Cheer Besties - but I'm really here to tell you about the other one, my daughter, Chloe. She's the star of the show.

Cheer Besties came about when I noticed that Chloe wasn't her usual bubbly vibrant self. In fact, she was incredibly sad and withdrawn and losing confidence by the day. It turns out that she was being bullied at school. As a mum this was really hard to watch because you obviously want to do everything you can to protect your children, but there are some things you don't have a lot of control over - and how other eight year olds treat your eight year old is one of those things.

So I did what I could - I helped Chloe focus her attention on what she loves most in the world and what makes her most happy and that is Cheer and Dance. Now, she was already doing about as much practice and training as is healthy for an eight year old, so we decided that we would start a business based around her passion and Cheer Besties was born!

We already kind of had an idea - Chloe had been wanting to wear active wear for a while (like so many of the other girls at her gym), but hadn't found any she was comfortable in. She says she feels vulnerable when too much of her shoulders are exposed or the crops have too little coverage. So we came up with a cute design that made her feel comfortable and confident. You'll also notice that nearly all of our initial drop is lilac purple - that is Chloe's favourite colour 🤩.

Things have improved for Chloe at school and that is amazing but Cheer Besties has really added some sparkle ✨ back into her day and we are hoping that it will also add some into yours.

We want this brand to celebrate Cheer and Dance and the happiness it brings into to our lives, but also celebrate the inclusivity, positivity and friendship that comes along with it 🦄.
